Escrow Payment Protection: How Vensho Keeps Your Money Safe
What Is Escrow?
Escrow means your payment is held by a neutral third party (Vensho, powered by Stripe) until the service is delivered. The vendor knows the funds exist, but they can't access them until the event is complete and you confirm satisfaction.
It's the same system used in real estate, freelance platforms, and high-value transactions worldwide.
How It Works on Vensho
- You book a vendor — your payment is captured and held securely via Stripe.
- The vendor confirms — they see the booking and prepare for your event.
- Your event happens — the vendor delivers their service.
- 48-hour review period — after the event, you have 48 hours to raise any issues.
- Funds released — if no disputes, the vendor receives their payout minus the platform commission.
What If Something Goes Wrong?
Vendor no-show: Full refund, automatically. No paperwork, no waiting.
Service not as described: File a dispute within 48 hours of the event. Our team reviews the evidence and mediates a resolution — partial refund, full refund, or release with adjustments.
You cancel: Cancellation terms vary by vendor. Refund terms are set per booking and shown before you pay — typically a full refund well ahead of the event, partial refunds for 14-30 days, and no refund within 14 days. The vendor's cancellation policy is displayed on their profile before you book.
What Does It Cost?
The 5% buyer service fee covers escrow protection, dispute resolution, and our money-back guarantee. Compare that to the 25-35% markups charged by traditional agencies — with no refund guarantee.
For Vendors
Escrow protects you too. Confirmed bookings mean guaranteed payment — no more chasing invoices or dealing with no-pay clients. Your payout is processed within 48 hours of event completion, with daily deposit schedules via Stripe.
