LDR Transit (Leaping Deer Ranch)

We had our wedding at the Leaping Deer Ranch in September. It was so lovely to be surrounded by the sweeping hills and dramatic skies around Sapello. The wildflowers around the ranch were in bloom and it was a beautiful place to have our friends and family gather. We were able to have some of our closer friends stay at the venue with us for a few days before the ceremony and it was so nice to relax, hot tub, and enjoy all the different amenities. Would be great for reunions, retreats, or smaller

My husband and I got married in September. The host is a complete jerk. During the day of our wedding, I was forced into town to pick up a plunger because our host didn’t have one on the premises. Seriously? The house and grounds reek of sulfur. The beds suck. We were forced to sleep on a sleeper sofa to avoid rolling into the middle. This jerk advertised his batting cage as an amenity; then charged us $100 to use it, claiming that he gave my grandson batting lessons. We paid $7k for four days b

Second time renting Leaping Deer, both for large family gatherings. This time was for a funeral at Santa Fe National Cemetery and even though 81 miles and 80 minutes by car, LD was by far the best idea. We had 14 people stay for 3 days/2 nights. Best features are the seven bedrooms, all but one with a full bath; the enormous kitchen which allows multiple people to work and gather; and the long, wide porch overlooking fantastic vistas where we gathered each evening.
