La Posada de Santa Fe

La Posada has a really unique setup. The main house feels like an old mansion and serves as the lobby, bar, and part of the restaurant, Julia’s. It looks a little dated at first, but the service was the best we experienced in Santa Fe. Tammy, the bar and restaurant manager, was exceptional. She was knowledgeable about the area, generous with her time, and truly made our stay more memorable. The location is ideal, easy walking distance to everything downtown, which made exploring simple. I only stayed for 1 night and loved my room for the most part. You can’t beat the location being close to the action but also far enough to give a quiet luxury. There was a Nespresso in my room which was a lovely surprise. Unfortunately because of the higher ceilings it took much more heat to keep warm. I tried the fireplace but it didn’t heat the room very well so I had to revert back to the central heat. There were also a few broken and loose tiles in the flooring and the bathroom remained ice

It is a beautiful hotel with rustic rooms and a well preserved original mansion as the lobby and restaurant and bar area. Artistic paintings. A lot of history to the place. The best thing about our stay was the fireplace in the room which made the stay very cozy. They had firewood outside and you can manage your own fireplace which was fun.
