There was a time when having a wedding planner was considered a luxury afforded only to couples with deep pockets. (Or couples who had parents with deep pockets.) I beg to differ. In my opinion, having a wedding planner was a necessity and one I would advise other brides to have, even if it means scaling back on other costs for your wedding reception. For me personally, having a wedding planner was the difference between me just being able to “pull off” my reception and me being able to enjoy it
