This hotel completely ruined what was supposed to be a special anniversary trip. At check-in, the front desk told us our room had been upgraded using our Chase Sapphire / Marriott benefits. The Adolphus is filled with history. It's easy to find and park for valet. I question the safety of getting the vehicle due to high traffic volume. The room had a great view. If you want beautiful lobby decor and happening evening bar, but ZERO service, Adolphus is for you. Our room was ready 2.5 hours after check-in and they didn’t seem to know what was going on. We stood there for 30 minutes while the manager avoided us until we specifically asked for them. They did upgrade one room and offer vouchers/drink tickets.
