Balistreri Vineyards

Over the weekend I went to this winery with some friends and we did a tasting. I have to say that this was probably the best tasting experience I’ve ever had. The staff (both sommeliers) were incredibly knowledgeable and shared lots of history and food pairings with us. Plus you taste almost 20 different wines. Such a nice little winery right in the middle of town — and surprisingly close to Commerce City, which is awesome. Super easy to get to, no traffic at all, and plenty of parking. They focus on all-natural wines, which I absolutely loved. The reds were delicious, and they also offer orange wine, which was new to me. Three Generation winery serving lunch and dinner. We started with a wine sampling flat, lunch, and dessert. My shrimp was perfectly prepared, and the strawberry parfait was very good. The portions are small, and a bit pricy. They also ran out of menu items. I was excited to sample the wines, but was disappointed in that the flavor palate was not distinguishable.
